Guess What Everyone...I'm Back!!!

Elder Wixom with President and Sister Kendrick
The forced hiatus has come to an end, and I am back in good old Southern California! Woot woot! I am so excited to be back here!

Well, my companions in Fallbrook were amazing! Elder Metcalfe and Elder Skenandore are both such great Elders. Unfortunately I was not able to enjoy their company for very long, as Wednesday night I got a call saying that I was being transferred to Temecula (Glad I didn't unpack much)! As there was an Elder there that needed a companion, as his companion felt he needed to be home for a bit after an unfortunate circumstance arose in his family.

My new companion, Elder Rupper (pronounced Rue-per) is a really great guy. He was pretty sad at first since his old companion was gone, as they had become really good friends, but as the past few days have gone by he has started to cheer up a lot!

Zone Conference on Friday was great! This was Elder Rupper's second conference of the week, as he went to the Temecula/Murrieta one on Tuesday. But President Kendrick wanted me to be able to attend a Zone Conference so we went to the Vista/Fallbrook one. There were a lot of great lessons shared, and I got my suit back! My short-lived Fallbrook companions were nice enough to bring it with them to the conference.

Had my first Sunday as a reinstated missionary yesterday, and I was really excited because of that! Though there was nothing altogether special about the meeting itself, it was just really good to be able to be back and say I was one of the new Elders (Elder Rupper is also new to the area, having arrived on Monday).

Well, that was my pretty intense first week! I wonder where I will be next week! But no matter where I am, like Nephi said in 1 Nephi 3:7, "I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded..." because I know I will be where the Lord wants me to be, and as the popular hymn says, "But if, by a still, small voice he calls to paths that I do not know, I'll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in thine: I'll go where you want me to go."

Thank you all for the support you have given me while I was at home!

Love you all,

Elder Wixom
